Mimi and the zoo

Well we have had a busy week. Mimi and I joined a play group consisting of "older" moms and little schnookins Mimi's age.

Our first outing was a concert at the Palace. We went to see the "Wiggles". For all of you who don't know who the Wiggles are, they are a group of Austral;ina men who dress like commanders of the starship enterprise and sing goofy little songs. They have a TV show. When Mimi and I are up in morning, we turn on the Disney channel and she is simply glued to this kooky little show.

If they wanted to brain wash all of Americas toddlers, they should use the Wiggles.

We were invited by our friend Missy and her daughter Annabelle. Missy has a connection at the Palace and we sat in the owners box. Well needless to say Mimi's 2nd concert(her first was concert in the park)was of such high standard she will be sad to find out that all of her concerts will not be with leather couches, giant home made choclate chip cookies and plenty of Palace employees that sing and dance with you. They also pick up your crumbs and sippy cup as you throw them on the floor.

I was a bit apprehensive about taking her, but Missy assured me, that Mimi could retire to the suite if she got overwhelmed.

Mimi was in a state, she didn't understand that the wiggles were on the stage, so she would wander around the suite eating cookies, she would hear a familiar song and then ask to go back to see what was going on. The Wiggles transcend all cultures and languages.

We also went to the zoo yesterday. We are around the corner form the zoo, so I put her in the stroller and took a little walk(a long walk). She loved it. Mimi has an inherent charm about her and all of the animals seemed to pose for her. We would walk up to the tiger who had been napping and he would rise up and strut around. Peacocks came running toward us, the black bear walked up to us plopped himself down,as if he were posing for a picture. She would just squeal with laughter. We had a great time. Sorry to say that since I was alone... no photos.
Auntie Muggins(Mary Margaret, and auntie Mimi(Mary) come to visit today...More later
